Inside & Out Home Inspection is licensed in the State of Connecticut. The owner, Richard Westervelt, has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He has worked in engineering and management positions in the utility boiler and residential and commercial heating boiler fields. Sara Westervelt is the Business Manager and assists on inspections. Sara and Rich owned an industrial wood manufacturing business for 16 years. We have inspected over 1000 buildings including homes dating back to 1680.

We are very familiar with electrical, plumbing, hydronic heating, air conditioning, heat pumps, water heating systems of all types and building construction. Rich and his wife have owned 1812 and 1906 colonial homes, both of which required extensive restoration and renovation. They are very familiar with the problems and repairs needed to older homes.
